What is needed before running the ELI course?
- Participants will be given some basic physical skills that they should be able to perform. Participants will be given instructions on physical preparation if needed.
- Participants will be given a Personality Test. They will need to log on and fill out the questions. It will take about 45 min. to complete the test.
- Participants are encouraged to give the ELI staff a list of at least 3-5 people for the ELI staff to interview prior to the course. It is not mandatory but extremely valuable for your ELI experience. The staff will be using this information to help the participants when they are developing their personal development plan. It is encouraged to provide people who know the particpant from different perpspectives. Spouses, managers, employees that the participant manages, children and close friends are recommended.
What Happens During the ELI course?
- Friday: Participants will have a number of brief lectures and breakout sessions in a conference room atmosphere. There will be “hands on” break out sessions using “state of the art” medical simulation equipment. The lectures will involve leadership, medical and management topics.
- Saturday: Participants will continue educational sessions and skills practice. The participants will be transported to the field course and run the course as a team. They will practice using their new leadership, communication and medical training to perform as a battlefield doctor taking care of patients. The team will end the course in a 11 bed field hospital. After the final patient has been saved, the team will come together for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and exciting stories of their recent adventures.
- Sunday: Participants will finish up the lecture portion of the course with more sessions focusing on developing on a personal development plan and goals back at the hotel conference center. The Accountability teams were work together to plan their own accountability structure moving forward. ELI participants will finalize their GO-Bags for the future. The participants will be finished at 1:00 pm. If flying home, participants will be 25 minutes from DFW.
Where is the course located?
Frisco Texas.
The Frisco location is located next to Legacy West, Dallas Star, and Legacy shopping and dining. Participants can eat dinner at the highest rated dining in the Dallas metroplex. We can give a list of hotels if needed.
What Happens After the ELI Course?
- Participants can further improve their team “course time” by participating in their three member accountability teams. This process will continue as the participants pursue their life long personal and professional goals. Their “course time” will stay posted on the ELI website if desired.
- The participants can work with the ELI Executive coaching team in the future to help improve the efficiency and culture of their organizations.
- The participants can contact ELI if they need supply refills for their Go Bags.
- The participants can come back to ELI at a later date to run the more challenging “Black Course” (in development)
What Should I Wear?
Participants need to bring running shoes or trail running shoes, athletic shorts, socks and undergarments for 2 different days of activities. Please bring more than one pair of shoes. Your trail running shoes could get muddy during the course run.
How Many People are Needed to Sign up?
- Individuals can sign up alone, or groups can sign up.
- ELI must have 9 individuals at a minimum to have a course on that particular set of days.
What is the Cost?
$1,593 is the fee per person
If a group of 9 is signed up for the price 10% discount.
For a group of 18 there is another 5% discount.
